Library Careers

The recruitment section of Cork City Council’s Personnel Department in City Hall is responsible for the recruitment of library staff.

  • Most Clerical, Technical and Professional grades are recruited under National Regulations, which prescribe recruitment procedures, qualifications etc., and recruitment is by way of competitive interview and/or examination conducted by or on behalf of the Cork City Council by the Recruitment Section.
  • Senior posts at Managerial and Professional levels are recruited through the Local Appointments Commission.
