Literacy Classes are held on a weekly basis in the Library. Scribblers our Creative Writing Group aimed at people who like to write has had a very successful first year and are always glad to welcome new members. The group will meet every Wednesday from 6.30-8.00pm.
The bookclub with a difference! Members chose their own book and chat informally about books and authors. There are opportunities to attend book launches, trips and visits to places of literary interest. This vibrant and active group meets on the first Friday of every month from 11.00-1.00pm

Bishopstown Toastmasters meet weekly, in the Library, from 11.00am to 12.30pm. Through the medium of Toastmasters men and women from all walks of life develop their personal skills and this is turn helps to develop the community overall. Bishopstown Toastmasters will offer a proven and enjoyable way to practise and hone your communication and leadership skills. Wilton Gramophone Circle will begin in January of 2009. The Circle will hold recitals on the fourth Thursday of the month, and the presenter is Michael Cotter. A wide selection of music will be played to cater for all moods and styles, everyone is welcome and admission is free. The programme starts at 3.00pm and runs until approximately 4.30pm. Parking is available in the Wilton Shopping Centre.
