Adult Lending

Our adult collection is located on the first floor and is wheelchair accessible.  Toilet and baby changing facilities are available. 

Book Stock
We have a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction books, as well as, music C.D.s, DVDs and audiobooks.  We regularly add new items to our collection and items can be requested from other Cork City Library branches if they are not available in Blackpool Library.  We also have an extensive range of teenage books in our Adult Lending area.  We have two full-time library assistants dedicated to the adult library, Martin and Paul, who are happy to assist you with your book selection and other queries.

Newspapers and Magazines
Blackpool Library holds a number of both national and local newspapers as well as some international magazines.  All members of the public are welcome to browse our newspapers and magazines and you do not have to be a member of the library to do so.  The Irish Times archive can also be accessed using one of our many public PCs.  For more information on our newspaper and magazine holdings see here.

Computer Facilities
Blackpool Library has five PCs available for public use.   Microsoft Office 2007 and access to the internet is available on our public PCs.  Colour and black & white printing is also available.  Charges apply.  For more information see here.
