Packed full with a wide array of events and groups, there is something for everyone at Cork City Libraries.

LOTE Online for Kids

Cork City Libraries are proud to present LOTE Online for Kids.

LOTE is an online database of digital books in World Languages, created for children to enjoy books and learn language through storytelling. The platform provides over 1750+ digital books in 50+ languages together with English translations.

C-Pen Reader at Cork City Libraries

Cork City Libraries are proud to present our latest service in the C-Pen Reader!

The C-Pen reads text out loud with a human-like digital voice and is designed to promote independent learning.

Those with dyslexia, or difficulty with reading or pronunciation, those learning languages or with vision problems will find the pens extremely helpful pieces of technology.

Touch Type Read and Spell (TTRS) Licenses

Cork City Libraries now has a limited number of TTRS (Touch, Type, Read & Spell) licenses for schools and individual learners.

My Open Library 

Cork City Libraries are delighted to announce that our popular My Open Library Service is now available in Glanmire Library, with plans to extend the service to Blackpool Library and Bishopstown Library underway.

Library patrons are now able to register in person at Glanmire Library to take part in an induction if interested in becoming a My Open Library Patron!

My Open Library is a service where public libraries offer extended open hours, using a mix of staffed and unstaffed self-service hours.

During unstaffed hours, members who are registered My Open Library members can access the library from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm every day, including weekends. 

The My Open LibraryService is also available in Douglas Library

Printing Upgrade and Price Change

Cork City Libraries are upgrading our printing services to allow for contactless card payments.

The new system will be installed across our network in the coming weeks.

There will be a change to the current pricing structure as follows, effective from Monday the 29 of May.

A4 black and white print 20c

A4 colour print 50c
