Our current subscriptions provide in-house online access to the business databases Vision-net, and FACTfinder. Vision-net provides access to documents of all Irish registered companies. FACTfinder provides full text of articles, links to PDF images of articles, abstracts, and citations on Irish business, from newspapers and magazines published since 1991.

Other databases can also be contacted within library premises, e.g., access to historic maps from the Ordnance Survey of Ireland is available on library computers, with the assistance of library staff.

Free online encyclopedia information is available at Encyclopedia.com, and Wikipedia.

The Dictionary of Irish Biography.  This comprehensive and authoritative biographical dictionary for Ireland contains over 9,000 signed biographical articles.  We provide free in-house access to the Dictionary of Irish Biography in all our libraries.
