The Story

Bradley thinks he is a loser in school. He doesn't even try to get along with people, or do his schoolwork. A new school counsellor, Carla, and a new boy in school, Jeff, try to help Bradley to get along with others, and to try harder at school.

About Louis Sachar


Louis Sachar was born in New York in 1954. He studied economics and law in college. He did part-time legal work while writing books for children. Eventually his books were popular enough for him to write full-time. As well as There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom, he has written 24 other books, including the Wayside School series and the Marvin Redpost series. His book Holes won many awards and was made into a film by Disney. His wife, Carla, is a school counsellor, and inspired the book There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom. About Martin Waddell



Martin Waddell was born in Belfast. When he was younger he wanted to be a football player, and he even signed for Fulham F.C. As well as Owl Babies, he had written the popular Little Bear series, Farmer Duck and Sailor Bear. He also wrote the novel In A Blue Dress and others for older children under the name Catherine Sefton.
