Gone With The Wind

Gone With The Wind logoOn 15th April readers came out in force to Bishopstown Library to commemorate Gone With The Wind, the book and the film. The evening started with a short documentary on the history of the American South. Next Kate Kirwan gave an engaging and informative talk on issues and themes in the book, and looked at how the book translated to the big screen in Selznick's famous film.

The event was hosted by Bishopstown library staff in period costume, helped by The Pards. The Pards are a Civil War Reenactment and Display Society, and they added colour and knowledge to the questions session after the lecture.
