Title: "Secrets"

Publisher:  Doubleday 2002

Author: Jacqueline Wilson

"Secrets" is brilliant.  It is my favourite book written by Jacqueline Wilson.  It is one of those books where you can't put it down.

It is about India and treasure who don't have a clue about each other.  When you read the book, you also read the girls diaries.

Find out how and why Treasure lives with her nan. find out how India deals with her moaning mum.

Find out how the girls meet as well as finding out how the girls keep their secret from England.

I recommend the book for girls aged 9 to 12 years.

I hope you read the book and enjoy it.

Title: Lola Rose

Author: Jacqueline Wilson

Publisher: Doubleday

Date: 2003

Lola Rose was the best book I ever read! It has mixed feelings..it's scary, funny, sad and enjoyable.

It's about an 11 year old girl Jayni and her mum Nickki and her brother Kenny. They have to run away because their dad was hitting Nickki and hit Jayni!

Further on in the book Jayni has to act more grown up than she is! Jayni is afraid of sharks where her brother Kenny loves them.  Her new house is very near an aquarium... Jayni and her mum have to change their names...and then.......

Read the book and find out!

Why I enjoyed the book is beause I could see the pictures in my head.  It was easy to read and to understand.

I would encourage other people to read it! I think it would suit 10, 11, 12 year olds girls.

Lola Rose was also reviewed by another young member - Sophie.  Here's what she thinks....

Lola Rose was the best book I ever read.  It's funny, sad, scary but it's really enjoyable. The characters are very funny.

Jayni is an 11 year old girl who thinks she's an adult, her brother Kenny really likes sharks.  Her mum is really nice but can get cross and her dad isn't nice.  Jayni and her mum are afraid of her dad.

I enjoyed reading the book because I could see the pictures in my head.  It was an easy book to read because it had no big words.

I hope you enjoy the book.  I think it would be suitable for 10 -12 year old girls.
