Fáilte | Welcome
We welcome patrons of Ballincollig, Blarney and Glanmire libraries, who joined with Cork City Libraries on 31 May 2019, following the boundary revision of the city of Cork. For further information please read our new patron FAQs.
Fáilte chuig ár suíomh idirlín nua! Welcome to our new look website. As well as a more modern look, we have reorganised our information to be easier to find. Please bear with us, while we make sure everything is in the right place.
If you want to find our opening hours or contact details, Contacts and Hours is an option on the navigation bar on every page. Links relating to your library account, including renewing your items and setting your PIN, are always available from the red menu bar on every page.
If you had bookmarked your favourite library pages, we have set up our most popular pages to redirect automatically to their new location in this new site. You can also try the Search function at the top of every page. Some older pages that were no longer being updated have been discontinued.
Please also visit our sister websites: Cork Past and Present, and the Cork Music Archive. If you have any questions about this new layout, try the Frequently Asked Questions, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Customers of Ballincollig, Blarney and Glanmire libraries will experience disruption to your BorrowBox account from 31 May 2019. This is due to the transfer of records taking place for the Cork City boundary expansion. You will lose your loans and holds, and you will be required to re-register. To re-register choose Cork City Council Libraries, enter the barcode from your library card and your PIN. We apologise sincerely for this disruption.
Due to the recent city expansion, three new libraries have been added to the Cork City Libraries network. To facilitate this expansion, all branches of Cork City Libraries will close at 3.00 pm on Wednesday 19 June for staff team building. We will reopen at the usual times on Thursday 20 June. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Due to a planned electrical outage on Wednesday 19 June, Blackpool Library will be working with reduced services. Customers will be able to borrow and return items as normal, but there will be no public internet, photocopying or printing, and the library will not be contactable by phone or email for the duration of the outage. We apologise for any inconvenience.
