Douglas Library is situated on the first floor of the refurbished Douglas Village Shopping Centre.  Free parking facilities are provided by the shopping centre.  The Library was officially opened in April 2010, and is jointly funded by Cork City Council and Cork County Council. 

Cork City Libraries are responsible for staffing, managing, stocking, and administering this library.

Opening Hours:  Tuesday to Saturday:  10.00 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.; and late opening Thursday till 8.00 p.m.

Closed on Bank Holiday Saturdays and Public Holidays

Transport access: 
Bus no. 6 (South Douglas Road) stops outside Leonardo's Restaurant, Church Street, on the south side of the shopping-centre car park. 
Bus no. 7 (Douglas Rd) stops by the Shell Garage in East Douglas Street.
Bus no. 16  stops in East Douglas Street  (Route: South Mall - Douglas Rd - Rochestown Rd - Clarke's Hill - Monswood / Mount Oval;  Return route: Monfield - Landsborough - The Borough - Broadale - Maryborough Hill - South Mall) . 
Bus no. 19, on the orbital route between Bishopstown and Mahon, stops by the Shell Garage in West Douglas Street.  Some stops on the orbital route include the CUH, Sarsfield Rd, Togher, the Lough, Ballyphehane, Turner's Cross, South Douglas Rd and Mahon, before returning westward again.

Free car parking is available in the shopping centre.  A three-hour limit on parking is monitored up to 5.30 p.m.
