Troubleshooting steps:

If you have recently replaced your library card you will need to re-register, entering your new barcode number. You will lose your loans and holds.

  • Reset your PIN and try again.
  • Contact your library, and confirm with the library staff that you are using the correct barcode assigned to your account. The library staff will also check that other details in your account are correct. Contact details for your local libraries are on our Contact Us page.
  • If steps 1 and 2 have not resolved the issue, then contact BorrowBox for help at support@bolindadigital.com

Libby - eMagazines

Meet Libby, our app for emagazines. Over 3000 magazines to choose from, free with your library card. Download the Libby app, or visit www.libbyapp.com.

Search for library name Cork City Library. Enter the 14 digit barcode number from your library card and your PIN, and you can stream or download emagazines to your device. 

To get started, select the subjects button to browse by category. To search for specific magazine, select the search icon and type in the magazine title.

25 June 2020: We wish to inform you that the newspaper groups who own the Irish Examiner, Irish Independent and Sunday Independent have withdrawn them from free access on PressReader. We apologise for this, and will let you know if the situation changes.

PressReader is an online newspapers and magazines service, free to current library members. There are over 4,000 newspapers and over 2,000 magazines from around the world. You can log in through your desktop computer or download the PressReader app from the App Store or Google Play.

We are pleased to bring you our new online comics and graphic novels service.  Comics Plus has over 16,000 ecomics and graphic novels online for all ages. Please be advised that parents or guardians are responsible for any ecomics or ebooks accessed by your children. There are two collections:

Children and Teens:

Visit https://corkcitylibrarieschildrens.librarypass.com/ and log in with your library card and PIN. This collection contains ecomics and graphic novels age-rated for Children and Teens.

Adults:

Visit https://corkcitylibrariesfullcollection.librarypass.com/ and log in with your library card and PIN.

Access to the collections is on the Library Pass app. Log in with your library card and PIN. Cork City Libraries recommend use of the service through a browser for the full range of features. Learn how to navigate Comics Plus on your desktop in this Vimeo video:

You can read from the Irish Times website and enjoy unrestricted access to more than 160 years of Irish Times archives, including millions of articles published since the first edition on March 29, 1859. This service is free to use on any of our public computers in all our libraries.
