City Library

The City Library on Grand Parade houses both public services and administration offices. The library has been serving the public from this location since 1930.

All Cork City Libraries are closed on Public Holidays and Public Holiday Weekends

The City Library on the Grand Parade is home to Cork City Libraries’ largest collections of books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs and other materials for adults and children. The City Library delivers a library service through five public-service departments: Adult Lending; Children's and Teens' Library; Reference; Local Studies; and the Rory Gallagher Music Library.

The City Library also provides management and administrative services, including IT and bibliographic support, for all public-service sections administered by Cork City Libraries in local libraries as well as in the City Library.
