Logainmneacha – Placenames

Stories of Ireland can be told through its place names. Most of these are anglicisations of the Irish language but not all. This talk will look at how landscape, native flora and fauna, and events in our past, were used to identify places. The derivation and origins of county names and towns within county Cork will be looked at.
