When Two Worlds Collide, Culture Night

A 45-minute journey through moments of meeting. Through a mix of drama, poetry, reading, and song, the performance explores what happens when different lives, ideas, and traditions intersect. Experiences from past and present, youth and age, silence and voice, familiar and the unknown, can bring confusion, tension and conflict. Alternatively, they can create beauty, humour, and unexpected connections. Curated by Jim Williamson, each piece offers a glimpse into lives shaped by change—where identities are tested, boundaries are crossed, and new perspectives emerge. “When Two Worlds Collide” invites the audience to reflect on their own encounters—with others, with change, and with themselves. ‘SunMakerS’ is a group of emerging writers who are looking forward to sharing their insights and writings at Mayfield Library on Culture Night 2026.
